Our Journey

How It Started

In 2023, we bought our first freeze-dryer to preserve our garden veggies—but our kids had other plans.

Forget the vegetables… let's make candy!

And just like that, Okie Crunch was born. What started as a kitchen experiment turned into a family business filled with laughter, creativity, and a whole lot of sugar dust.

The Okie Crunch Kids' Business Boot Camp

Running this business has been our kids' favorite real life school. Along the way, they've learned how to:

🎨
Design a Logo
Create our playful brand look
🍬
Experiment with Flavors
Master the perfect crunch
🔬
Learn the Science
Behind freeze-drying
💰
Calculate Costs
Build simple spreadsheets
📢
Market & Sell
At events (sampling is their specialty!)
🤝
Work as a Team
Build something meaningful together

This is more than candy—it's a family adventure, a learning journey, and a reminder that the best ideas often come from the smallest voices.
